If you are planning your wedding and looking for a personal and sentimental ceremony that reflects your individuality and style, it would be my pleasure to assist you in creating a service that will reflect you as a couple.  All ceremonies are about love, happiness, commitment and the fulfilment of our hopes and dreams, with individual attention to your personal ideals, spiritual concepts and beliefs.  I will help you construct a beautiful ceremony full of meaning making your day memorable and unique.

From our initial interview, through to formalising the wedding ceremony, I will be there to guide you every step of the way.  I will be delighted to help you plan your day, assist with legal requirements or helping you choose your special words or writing your wedding vows.

Important information you need to know when choosing the right celebrant;

Legalities

Before your wedding you will need to complete a Notice of Intended Marriage Form (NOIM) at least one month prior to your Wedding.  It can also be completed and lodged with the Marriage Celebrant 18 months before the date of the Wedding Day.  The documents you need to supply are as follows;

  • If born in Australia – your original Birth Certificate or official Birth Extract (if a copy of your Birth Certificate is required, please contact Births, Deaths and Marriages in the said State that you were born).
  • If born Overseas – your original Birth Certificate or Overseas Passport showing date and place of birth.
  • If either of you have been previously married then your original Divorce Decree papers or Death Certificate of previous spouse.
  • Any documents in a foreign language must be translated into English and a Translation Certificate supplied.

You are required to have two witnesses who are both over the age of 18 present to sign the Marriage Register and applicable Marriage Certificates.

My Services

  • Prepare, complete and lodge all legal paperwork with Births, Deaths and Marriages.
  • Operate through Rural and Metropolitan areas of Western Australia.
  • Offer fully qualified and professional advice to design a ceremony that is unique to you as a couple.  You can write your own vows or whole ceremony.
  • Welcome alternative or traditional ceremonies.
  • Provide full access to all sample ceremonies, vows, poems and readings via email booklets.
  • Provide PA System at an additional cost.
  • Provide you with a Presentation Copy of your Wedding Ceremony.
  • Solemnise your marriage according to Australian Law.
  • If you wish to undergo pre-marriage education courses further information is offered.

  • Registering your Marriage with Births, Deaths and Marriages.
  • Wedding Rehearsals at the Venue
  • Travel Fee
  • Portable PA System ensuring audibility at an additional cost – (Hire Fee: $60.00)

Travel Fee:                 (Additional –  If applicable)

Local weddings in Dongara/Port Denison a travel fee is not applicable.

Please note, the travel fee for rural and metropolitan areas will be advised as per enquiry.  The fee will be calculated on the number of kilometres travelled on a return journey between the Celebrant’s residence (Dongara) and the place of marriage.

Elements of a Ceremony

  • Processional – Entering of the bridesmaids followed by bride and the person(s) who is giving her away. (Music can be played as you make your entrance).
  • Welcome and Introduction – Introducing myself as the Marriage Celebrant, welcome family and friends and provide a few details on couple.
  • Parental Blessing or Giving Away
  • Meaning of Marriage – Celebrant speaks about couple’s commitment to each other.
  • First Reading (Optional)
  • Celebrant’s Authority – Legalities from the Marriage Act and spoken by Celebrant.
  • The Asking and The Vows – Declaration of intention to marry and promises.
  • Exchanging of Rings
  • Second Reading (Optional)
  • Declaration of Marriage – Sealed with a Kiss.
  • Signing of Marriage Register and Certificates.  (Music is best played whilst signing Legal Documents).
  • Congratulations and Presentation to family and friends.
  • Recessional – The bride and groom join family and friends to celebrate.
